PressTheWord explains money in Pakistan and does the maths for you. Every calculator and guide is written for Pakistani readers, in rupees, with figures taken from the source: FBR, the State Bank, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the PSX and the banks themselves.

Who writes it

PressTheWord is run by Ali Silat. Ali works on how things get found online, and has a long interest in tech, finance and money. He started PressTheWord to answer the money questions he kept looking up himself, with real numbers instead of guesses, and writes every article on the site.

How we keep it accurate

Each page shows where its numbers come from and when they were last checked. When a rate, a slab or a charge changes, the page is updated. Read the editorial policy for the details.
